How to make it happen: Uber to begin accepting payments at restaurants
The ride-hailing service Uber is opening restaurants in a handful of cities in the US and Canada.
The ride-sharing company has already made the switch to restaurants in San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Washington DC.
In addition to the restaurants, Uber is also adding a restaurant in New York City on Wednesday.
In addition to restaurants, the Uber app has opened restaurants in Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco.
Uber is already accepting payments from customers through its app in Seattle and Portland, Oregon.
The company is not yet accepting credit cards for restaurant reservations, but is working with banks to add that feature, according to the Seattle Times.
The move is a big step for Uber in Seattle, as it aims to compete with ride-share services like Lyft, which are based in Austin, Texas.
Uber’s Seattle location will be the first to be opened in the state.
Other cities to get restaurants include Denver, Austin, Chicago and New York.
