Maryland University UI designer salary: $130,000
The Maryland University of Science and Technology has been hiring for a full-time position that would pay $130.1 million in salary and benefits.
The UI design team consists of 25 people.
The U.S. News & World Report ranked Maryland in the top 50 U.s. universities in terms of overall research output.
The university said in a statement that its goal is to attract, retain and motivate a talented, globally-minded, and innovative workforce of more than 1,400 people.
The UI design office is located in the Uptown District at the intersection of N. Main St. and S. Michigan Ave.
The school said it is seeking applications for a position starting August 1.
The hiring period ends in October.
U.S.-based Uptime Solutions, an international design and development firm, also announced plans Wednesday to hire 50 more designers, including several former U.K. and German workers, as part of its effort to expand its global workforce.
Uptime is part of a $1.2 billion deal announced last year by the U.N. to create a design consultancy and advisory group.
The group will be led by U.M. professor David Ehrlich.
The agreement, which was reached through the International Federation of the Red Cross, includes a $600 million commitment to U.U.’s global work.
U.’s new job includes an office and other spaces for employees.
Uttime has also added jobs in Washington, D.C., where the company has offices.
